Impact had a very busy and festive Christmas in 2019. So, we thought we would give you a recap timeline of what we got up to!
Reverse Advent Calendar
Impact took part in the Reverse Advent Calendar once again in December. Over the 24 days before Christmas, we added various food items to the box. We then donated what we collected to Voyage Learning Campus in Nailsea. This meant that the students could have drinks and refreshments in their social time. We are delighted to hear that our donations can help them stay focused whilst learning, and also feel cared for.
Impact’s Christmas decorations go up
To get Impact into the Christmas spirit, we decorated the office with bright fairy lights, buntings and, of course, a nicely decorated Christmas tree!
Scrap Christmas cards and donate!
Impact wanted to be more sustainable this Christmas. So, instead of sending out paper Christmas cards, we decided to donate the money we would spend on Christmas cards to two local charities. We chose to donate to Changes Bristol (a mental health charity) and The Bristol Soup Run Trust (a homeless and poverty charity). We would like to encourage you to try do the same next Christmas if you have not already.
Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day
Impact got involved in Christmas Jumper Day with Save the Children. We had a blast! We organised a few fun activities that the whole office could take part in. These were an office sweepstake, bake sale, pin the nose on James Blunt and, of course, we wore our Christmas jumpers for the day. Because of all these activities and our generous team, we managed to raise a total of £115 for Save the Children! It was certainly a lot of fun and we would recommend to anyone thinking of getting involved next time.
